I am very pleased to say the presentation of our Centenary warrant on the 27th May at Cosham Masonic Hall went very well. I am very grateful to the Provincial Grand Master the Right Worshipful Brother Jonathan Charles Whitaker and the Officers of Provincial Grand Lodge for giving us an excellent and memorable Ceremony. We particularly enjoyed the oration given by W.Bro Tony Richards and of course the reading of our warrant by the Provincial Grand Secretary. We thank them for their company at what was a very enjoyable festive board.
I am extremely proud of all the officers and Brethren of Southsea Lodge No 4071 for all their continued support and hard work in preparing for what was a major milestone in the history of the Lodge. I would also like to thank W. Bro Alan Milling for his reading of the history of Southsea Lodge and W. Bro Phil Dare for his donation of new collars for the ceremony.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new joining members and this years initiates. I know they all enjoyed the ceremony and I wish them all the best in the years ahead. I am sure our founding members will be looking down on us with immense pride and a little humour, knowing that we at Southsea Lodge put as much into our festive board as we do into our rituals.
For those of you who were at our centenary dinner I thank you all for your attendance and for those yet to visit. I encourage you to do so. Please take time to view our social calendar and come along and join us.
As we continue to celebrate our Centenary year. I look forward to meeting with you all again and thank you for continued support.
Please do visit whenever possible, I can assure you of a warm welcome, a fine ritual and a very enjoyable festive board
